This picture shows our founder Gillian in the old museum in Montogomery, with the model of the Fiat Topolino owned by her sister Valerie.

Gillian's own extensive collection includes many examples of early toy cars such as these from the formative years of Dinky Toys. 

Gillian also collected very rare models from close to the museum's current home.

From models of Isettas and other strange three-wheelers, to models entirely made of pewter – all feature in Gillian's collection.

The Gillian Rogers collection includes some of the tiniest model cars one will ever see – note the penny!

There are much bgger exhibits too, such as this 1915 Dennis, the leading model in a cabinet of fire engines. 

One of three models measuring around three feet in length is this 1935 Singer, commissioned by Gillian as amodel of her own 1935 car in which she passed her driving test and then owned for more than 40 years, driving it all over Europe. The real car is still running today.

The 1937 Fiat Topolino was commissioned by Gillian as a model of her sister Valerie’s first car. The sisters used to drive to work in the Topolino if it was raining and the Singer if it was dry – taking a brolly just in case...

Pride of the museum, this model of a 1925 Citroën Cloverleaf was built entirely by Gillian in tribute to her pet dog ‘Clover’ – there is a connection with the TV star car 'Brum' but for the full story you will have to visit us....

This is just one corner of the current museum which currently stretches to two rooms housing 8,000-plus model cars – and growing... 

These model veteran cars have been expertly made mainly from Airfix kits by Cloverlands trustee John Nunn.

The personal project of our chair, motoring journalist Andrew Charman, who aims to collect one example of every F1 car type since the championship started in 1950 – we have more than 500 but the total is more than 1,000 and it increases every year! 

Among our displays is part of a collection put together by Shrewsbury enthusiast John Verrin, specilising in classic British names including Dinky, Corgi and Matchbox. 

You cannot run a model car museum in Wales without a display of rally cars – we have around 80, including models of the cars driven by local hero Elfyn Evans.

Our late trustee Max Tomlinson was an afficionado of Bugatti and we have more than 200 of this models on display, telling the story of the famed marque.

Part of our entrance cabinet, celebrating the 75th anniversary of Formula One and including some pristine models made by Essex enthusiast David Gillyon.

|Police officer Jim Hartley collected every type of toy and model police vehicle he could find. Following his passing the collection was donated to the museum, so many we can only display part of it at a time...

This magnificent model of the Fiat Mephistofole lives in our land speed record cabinet. In 1924 the full-size car reached a then record 146mph. 

Our displays include a varied collection of Morris Minor models in various scales, including the lilac-coloured version, the first limited edition in the UK auto industry. Just 350 were made in 1961 to  celebrate production of the millionth Minor.

...and talking Morris... This large model was sent to the museum by an enthusiast in India. The Hindustan Ambassador wa slast made in 2014, despite being based on the Morris Oxford Series 3 that went out of production in 1959!
